About Rodents

The Rodents are a Minneapolis-based original rock band made up of longtime friends and local musicians whose roots run deep in the early punk and new wave days of the Longhorn Bar, the Uptown Bar and First Avenue & 7th Street Entry.

With decades of musical experience between them, Larry Case (vocals/guitar), Doug Herkenhoff (bass/vocals), Randy Casey (lead guitar/vocals) and Buck Gronberg (drums) bring a lifetime of rock and roll to the stage. Larry and Doug spent years traveling the U.S. as touring stage techs, while Randy’s extensive career includes recording, touring, session work, and performances alongside artists such as Paul Westerberg, Buddy Guy, John Mellencamp and Wilco. Buck, a longtime part of the Minneapolis music scene, adds texture and feel behind the kit, bringing a lifelong appreciation for great music.

Blending classic rock, road-tested twang, punk attitude and garage grit, The Rodents deliver a dynamic, hard-hitting sound fueled by friendship, experience, and a shared love of playing music. Their shows are raw, engaging, and full of the kind of rock and roll that makes you feel like part of the pack.
